The Organisation may file a written appeal of a certification decision with PIEP within 15 days of being notified of the decision. PIEP shall also confirm, in writing, receipt of the appeal and proceed with its review, taking into account all information relevant to the reassessment of the decision made in the context of certification. Upon completion of the review, PIEP shall notify the Organisation, in writing, of the decision regarding the appeal filed.
Any complaint regarding dissatisfaction with the services provided by PIEP or submitted by a third party concerning a client certified by PIEP must be submitted to PIEP in writing. PIEP shall also confirm in writing to the complainant the receipt of the complaint, as well as the actions to be taken and the decision made.
The review and decision regarding appeals and complaints are handled by individuals not involved in the certification activities related to the respective appeal or complaint.
The filing of an appeal does not suspend the original decision of the Certification Body, which remains in effect until the final decision of PIEP regarding the appeal is communicated.
