Development of coffee capsule for the Torrié brand

A capsule for making coffee or infusions in a single dose, compatible with the most common coffee machine systems.

Creation of a capsule with its own identity, using biomimicry. To improve water dispersion, a geometry was developed at the top of the capsule that mimics the aerodynamic structure found in the mouth of the peregrine shark, which allows it to filter water for feeding.

High performance with great savings in raw materials.

Another highlight is the reduction:

• the number of materials used;
• the amount of material;
• weight by about 60%;
• the environmental impacts related to transportation;
• and for a large number of effects and colors available.
