The project Compofoam consists in the research and technological development of expandable thermoplastic compounds of low density and high resistance to abrasion. The proposed solution involves the development of a processing methodology for thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) compounds and modified styrene-ethylene-butylene-styrene (SEBS) copolymers through the incorporation of expanding agents and other additives for the development of a broad range of products, namely shoe soles, and o-rings.
