inLASER – Advanced “Tooling” technologies for the integrated production of vehicle optics

Development of moulds with high performance. The project used additive technologies for the integrated manufacture of optical systems, based on assembly and component integration processes, applying laser welding technology.

The project focused on the development of a polymer-based optical system based on the implementation of in-mould operations as a differentiation factor and cost reduction. For this, this project had an integrated approach to product development, material selection, mold design, and interior operations, using multi-material injection techniques and in-mold laser.
