Portable fuel tank for fast filling in motorcycle racing events

PIEP, in partnership with Polisport, carried out all the product development and engineering, of a fast-filling system directed to off-road motorcycle racing events. The product developed, Pro Octane consists of a jerrycan, a portable fuel tank, as well as a set of accessories that increase its value.
It was designed taking into account ergonomic and functional aspects that facilitate its use and make it a high-performance product. Among the various functionalities, the two-handle system stands out for less user effort; the lid with an integrated indicator that makes it possible to mark the type of mixture inside the tank and also an innovative breather system. Thanks to this combination of features, this is one of the fastest systems on the market with auto-shutoff and integrated safety locks.

This result was only possible due to the integrated development methodology, which transformed the briefing into the development of concepts subsequently tested through virtual engineering to assess the structural behavior of the jerrycan and the way it is affected by the fluid inside. These validations allowed Polisport to proceed safely to product certification.
