Development of a set of motorcycle levers using hybrid moulding technology

In partnership with Polisport, PIEP developed a set of levers with a hybrid moulding that maintains the same feel of an OEM aluminum lever, without any kind of bending during use, even in extreme conditions.

PIEP supported all technical activities specialized in product design and engineering from conceptual development and structural evaluation, both virtual and experimental.

These levers have the particularity of being produced by hybrid moulding. Through this technology, this product takes advantage of the structural performance of metal together with the geometric flexibility of a composite developed especially for this product, elevating its overall performance above conventional aluminum levers.

The geometric shape was ergonomically designed for use with 3 fingers and is characterized by being articulated levers that allow the rotation of the lever in the opposite direction, to avoid breakage in situations of impact. The contact surfaces are textured, which conveys greater comfort and makes them more attractive to the final consumer.
