This project aims to develop polyolefin compounds (LDPE, HDPE, PP) with a high incorporation of recycled PCR, possessing flame-retardant properties for the manufacture of electrical conduits in accordance with current international standards and HFFR flammability requirements. The general objectives include:
• Developing electrical conduits designed from recycled plastic and a composition with non-halogenated, recyclable flame-retardant properties, derived from research into unorthodox formulations;
• Achieving flammability requirements in the proposed formulations while maintaining HFFR (Halogen Free Flame Retardant) characteristics through intermediate chemical compounds in 100% polymer matrix formulations;
• Recyclable products with inherent recyclability properties, while maintaining HFFR properties;
• Safer products with less dependence on potentially harmful raw materials.
