EasyFlush Syringe

The EasyFlush Syringe (SEF) project aims to develop an innovative syringe that integrates flushing, medication administration, and locking functions into a single device, simplifying venous catheter maintenance and reducing complications such as infections and thrombophlebitis.

PIEP is responsible for product development, utilizing its expertise in requirements definition and organization, advanced 3D modeling, product design in plastic and composite materials, and computational calculations to optimize mechanical and thermomechanical behavior, as well as fluid-structure interaction.

MOLIPOREX-MOLDES PORTUGUESES IMPORT. E EXPORT. SA leds the project that includes the participation of the Coimbra School of Nursing, the Lisbon School of Nursing, and PIEP – Centre for Innovation in Polymer Engineering.
