The “Future of Furniture” is a unique meeting between wood and furniture professionals and experts and the scientific and technological community. It will take place between the 19th and 20th of October 2023, respectively at Casa da Arquitectura (Matosinhos) and Quinta O Campo (Paços de Ferreira).

Designed for pioneers, visionaries, technologists, and curious people in the furniture sector, the event promotes a space for discussion and reflection on the main challenges of the future, including design, sustainability, new markets and business models, emerging technologies, and future skills.

The panel of speakers brings together prominent personalities, including Nini Andrade Silva, Yves Béhar, Kaave Pour, Pablo Van der Lugt, Andreja Kutnar, José Manuel dos Santos, Maria Milano, Luísa Carvalho, José Rui Marcelino, and Andria Santos. Bilingual translation will be guaranteed.

This event, curated by a renowned group of partners and experts, will also feature technical workshops on topics relevant to product and process innovation, such as Industry 4.0 technologies, new sustainable materials, or the role of artificial intelligence in the current and future skills market in the sector. Practical cases will also be presented and networking moments will be ensured between participants and speakers.

PIEP will participate as a speaker at this event, on October 20th.
