Production of sustainable rail sleepers from mixed plastic waste

The Eco Sustainable Rail project had as its main objective the valorization of mixed plastics in the development of sustainable railroad sleepers, in a clear innovative approach to the circular economy and industrial symbiosis.

The developed product adds an answer, to the challenges, of the circularity of plastics and to the present and future of a more sustainable railroad.
