PIEP was visited by the Minister for Education, Science and Innovation, Professor Fernando Alexandre, and the Secretary of State for Science and Innovation, Professor Helena Canhão.

This visit provided an opportunity to showcase the work that PIEP carries out daily in close collaboration with industry: our expertise, laboratory facilities and technology demonstrators – designed in partnership with companies – which highlight our ability to transform science into innovative solutions, knowledge into competitiveness, and innovation into value for the economy.

Throughout the visit, we had the opportunity to demonstrate how the Technology and Innovation Centres play an essential role in bridging the gap between science, technology and industry, helping to strengthen companies’ competitiveness and contribute to the country’s economic development.

For over 25 years, this has been PIEP’s commitment: to transform knowledge into value for industry and society. This is the path we wish to continue along, in close collaboration with companies, the University of Minho, our national and international partners, and the State.

We believe that innovation only creates a real impact when it is built through collaboration.

We would like to thank the Minister and the Secretary of State for their time, attention, and recognition of the work carried out by PIEP. Your presence is an important sign of solidarity and of the value placed on collaborative innovation, technology transfer and Portugal’s capacity to respond to the challenges facing industry and our society.
