PIEP will be present at the Greenfest, from July 1st to 2nd, at the Ermesinde Cultural Forum, in Valongo, with the participation of demonstrators of projects related to sustainability (like ValorNature project) and with the intervention in talks (G-Trends powered by REN” on the 1st. July, at 4 pm, through Bruno Pereira da Silva, coordinator of the Circular Economy and Environment area of PIEP).
Greenfest is the biggest sustainability event in Portugal, with 15 years of existence. This year Greenfest is even more plural, intergenerational and dynamic, investing in a program for different and varied target audiences, enhancing transformative experiences.
The themes addressed at Greenfest include the circular economy, climate change, green entrepreneurship, generosity, green culture, the green community, and green food, among others.
The theme of the 2022 Greenfest is “Regenerative Circular Economy and Nature-Based Solutions”, which refers to sustainable management and the use of its mechanisms to respond to the enormous socio-environmental challenges we face. The challenges include such urgent topics as combating climate change, access to clean water, pollution, food security, human health, loss of biodiversity, ecosystem degradation, climate migration, and disaster risk management. The list of challenges could go on… and immediately include all the SDGs 2030, whose objectives have become even more demanding and complex with the covid-19 pandemic.
