The role of Industry 4.0 in business competitiveness will be the theme of the first edition of the Technological Demonstrator, an initiative by ANI that aims to promote the research and development projects of the Interface Centers (CIT).

The first event of this activity will be organized in conjunction with the Pole of Innovation in Polymers Engineering (PIEP), including a visit to the facilities of this CIT, as well as a round table on the theme “Industry 4.0 – challenges for the competitiveness of SMEs”, for discussion and sharing testimonies. The opening of the session will be in charge of the Secretary of State for the Economy, João Correia Neves, as well as the Presidents of ANI and PIEP, Eduardo Maldonado, and João Cortez, respectively.

Before the end of the work, between 3:30 pm and 5:00 pm, an Open Innovation Session will also be promoted, which will consist of bilateral meetings between companies, non-business entities from the scientific and technological system, and academic institutions. The purpose of these bilateral meetings is to bring face to face, in individual meetings of up to 20 minutes in duration, entities that can solve concrete problems in the area of ​​Industry 4.0 or promote collaborative projects. Registration for the Open Innovation Session will soon be made available on its platform, through which a personalized meeting agenda will be generated for each participant according to their needs and objectives.

The Technological Demonstrator initiative, promoted by ANI within the scope of SIAC – Knowledge Transfer Initiative, aims to involve the national business fabric with the results of scientific and technological innovation and entrepreneurship. This activity will take place monthly and will take place in several ITCs, all over the country.
